Life is a very mysterious thing to us. Sometimes we can achieve many things during our lives and for the more unlucky or unfortunate, it can pass over you without them even realizing it. "New Life" by *etwoo, shows us that even though the world around may be broken, battered and forgotten, that a sliver of life is always willing to make its way through the cracks and start anew.
To begin with, *etwoo is no stranger to detail in his arwork and this particular is no exception. From the grainy rust on the metal to the reflective light on the destroyed structures in the background, the piece is truly a treat for the eyes. Wires hanging from the ceiling and even the shattered glass can almost make you wonder what this place looked like before whatever incident occurred that left this place in such a destroyed state. Lighting, as I said before, is really on display in this piece. The light from the sun really gives the place a much more realistic feel and the light itself brings out the reflectivity of everything it touches. Even the plants near the windowsill are rendered translucent by it, really showing the level of detail and attention that was given to this piece.
We may never know what the future holds for any of us. For some, this may be what will soon appear. But remember that a sliver of life will always find a way to push itself through some of the bleakest surroundings, regardless of the situations. Great work *etwoo.
WOW my jaw literally dropped upon witnessing this majestic piece of art! I was also not sure at first whether this was a picture or a painting. You, my good sir, are an amazing artist and I can only hope to become as good as you are one day! Absolutely beautiful painting!
